We’re the Akins family, proud owners of Rapid River Outfitters. My name is Roy, and my wife Karen and I have two wonderful children, Boden and Everlee. In 1995, Karen and I moved to Riggins, Idaho, with a dream of building a peaceful life on the banks of the wild Salmon River. That dream has become a reality, and every day we get to share this incredible place with others.

Our business is the definition of a small-town mom-and-pop operation. Rapid River Outfitters offers a variety of drift boat fishing adventures, ranging from single-day trips to multi-day excursions. I’ve spent my entire life rowing and fishing this river, and it’s a passion I’m honored to share with you. When you join us, it’s not just about fishing—it’s about making memories with your family and friends. All you need to do is step into the boat and let the good times roll!
